The backdrop for the washbasin area is not standard copper, but meticulously torched stainless steel. This artisanal thermal treatment (oxidation) involves heating the metal in a controlled manner, which draws out a unique palette of warm, rusty, and coppery tones. With every touch of the flame, the steel acquires a one-of-a-kind, irregular texture and patina that breathes life into the raw interior and beautifully reflects the light. Set against this "burning" metal is an absolutely phenomenal sink cast from semi-transparent resin. Its deep burgundy color changes character depending on the angle of the light. The translucent material makes this massive, geometric block appear visually lightweight. Thanks to its smooth finish, the resin creates a perfect, sensual contrast to the brutalism of the raw concrete visible on the adjacent pillar. Completing this bold composition is a sculptural side table sourced from Objects With Narratives – a platform renowned for its carefully curated collectible design. Its organic, "fleshy" form and saturated red smoothly echo the resin sink. This artistic accent breaks the architectural rigor of the room, introducing an element of true functional art into the bathroom.
