Krakow - an oasis of warm minimalism and subtle textures

The interior of this apartment is a conscious nod to the philosophy of warm minimalism and Japandi aesthetics. At efem studio, we have created a space where every object has its justified place, and the color palette relies on soothing shades of off-white, sandy beige, and subtle gray. This is a home designed to be a sanctuary from the overstimulation of the outside world. The open living area is dominated by simple yet expressive forms. A low, modular sofa with a tactile, soft texture invites informal relaxation. A transparent acrylic coffee table adds a sense of lightness. Counterbalancing these soft lines is a strong, sculptural accent – the iconic Wassily chair by Marcel Breuer, which introduces a raw Bauhaus spirit into the interior. The "Learning from Japan" poster subtly reveals the core design inspirations. The kitchen annex continues the visual discipline. Smooth, handleless greige cabinets are paired with glossy zellige-style wall tiles. Their irregular, artisanal surface beautifully refracts light. The architectural purity is interrupted by graphic, matte black accents of the fixtures and appliances, as well as the organic, freely trailing greenery of pothos plants.
